At Salone with Domus

During the week of the Milan Furniture Fair, Domus will be in the new Spazio Copernico in the heart of the Tortona district where - as media partner of the entire area - it will present the installation “Milano Next” dedicated to contemporary Milan and a conceptual extension to the international guide to be launched at the beginning of the month for which the monthly magazine has involved 15 representatives from the world of culture, design and architecture.

A picture of Milan as it is today, how it is lived and how it is perceived, translated into three-dimensions in an immersive installation, curated by DONTSTOP Architecture, a Milanese cultural hotbed that has been going since 2011.

Domus has also established a media partnership with www.fuorisalone.it and will be out and about across the city: in the Brera District it has been involved in the project White in the City contributing to the setting up of the exhibition “White Icons” curated by Giulio Cappellini and housed on the upper floor of Palazzo Cusani where there will be an enlarged print of the white cover created by studio Architecten De Vylder Vinck Taillieu for the January 2012 issue.

In 5Vie art+ and Design District (Cesare Correnti), it is media partner for the project “The Classroom” by Piero Golia and Diego Perrone dedicated to artist Chris Burden who died in 2015 while confirming its links with the Milan Polytechnic by contributing to the new interactive video installation, “The spectacle of the artefacts” created by the institute together with the Piccolo Teatro of Milan. An important presence that confirms on one hand the strong link between Domus and the city of Milan and on the other the energy and multidisciplinary character of the magazine spanning almost 90 years.

Last but not least the students of IED Milan Photography course will take over Domus Instagram profile. Stay tuned and don’t miss their Photo Stories!
